How’s your week going? The week after Spring Break has been humbling—getting back to our normal schedule has truly knocked me on my a$$. The other day I thought I’d lay down for just a second and I woke up three hours later? Then, I ate a Moon Pie. I felt guilty at first about both of those things but then I realized I should actually just feel very proud of myself. So that’s where I’m at now.
Here are some cute little Austin things for you, mostly in photo format:
A great bathroom experience at Civil Goat Coffee. There were also detailed instructions on how to plunge the toilet should it clog. Loved every minute of my visit there.
Central Market really leans into a theme. Right now they’re doing tropical flavors, and there are wonderful little displays all over the store. And! their produce section is abundant with weird little tropical fruits…
I splurged on this PINK PINEAPPLE which is really sweet and less acidic than a normal pineapple? And those little green guys are kiwi berries!
It’s springtime and therefore we all need to be at The Natural Gardener. A great place to wander around, especially with kids, if you haven’t been.
I’m officially on Bluebonnet Watch and I’m very proud to report that a few little clumps have sprung up in my front yard. I sprinkled some seed last fall!
Just some great colors at Deep Eddy Pool from last year—dreaming about some summer evenings poolside real soon.
My favorite spot for contemplation—Ellsworth Kelly’s Austin. Mostly including this to brag about this great photo I got on my iPhone?!
That’s it! Wishing you some great wildflower sightings this week and perhaps a Moon Pie or a great nap.
