Name that Austin spot and excellent vegetables
Also a pretty wedding cake and some great breakfast food
Howdy! I’m Rachel and I write a short weekly email about the small delights I find in my hometown of Austin, TX. Join us, if you’d like!
How has your week been? Did you do anything fun outside during this pleasant May weather? I hope so! I did some swimming and some reading by the pool which felt rejuvenating. I think I can tackle summer now!
Here are this week’s cute Austin things for you:
My friend Natalie had the coolest wedding last weekend. The details were incredible (there was an actual tattoo booth!) and all the guests were so warm and fun. Our friend Melinda (of Mindy’s Bakeshop!) made this vintage-inspired cutting cake and my eyes nearly popped out of my head when I saw it.
We used this nice weather as an excuse to visit the Sunset Valley Farmer’s Market last weekend which I hadn’t been to in a while. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of vegetable stands and prepared food booths!
This was my favorite vegetable find. We ate frisée non-stop for a few days with this dressing and a little parm.
This stack of griddle cakes at Toasty Badger healed my weary soul one morning.
And finally, lots of love for this grimy pink chair.

Do you have any exciting farmer’s market finds? I also like Teddy V. cookies and CTRUS lemonade at the Mueller Farmer’s Market <3
Hope your week is rootin’ tootin’!
