Hey y’all!
This is the first edition of a newsletter my good pal, Alex, has lovingly bullied me into writing about my hometown of Austin, TX.
Thanks very much for reading!
Can I tell you about this breakfast I ate
If there’s one thing I could talk your ear off about, it’s breakfast in Austin.
This week I want to discuss Walton’s, which, first things first, is owned by Sandra Bullock! and secondly, is cute as a button and very yummy.
My husband and I went last week and had the biscuits and gravy, which was served in a shallow bowl and absolutely swimming in sausage gravy, as God intended. They also have great coffee and a case of yummy pastries and…flowers!
Look at how cute this is
I saw this on a walk the other day—it’s a Little Free Library, actually!
Speaking of books
If you’re looking to give someone you love a Texas-themed children’s book may I suggest avoiding the “Texas ABCs” type books which are *fine* and instead going for a book such as Armadillo Rodeo by Jan Brett? It’s about an armadillo named Bo who mistakes a pair of red cowboy boots for a new friend because of his poor eyesight. So good!
Thanks for stopping by!
Hope you have a rootin’ tootin’ week!
Rachel
