Howdy, pal.
How are ya? I am so worried about and sick over the fires in LA. I hope you and your loved ones are safe.
On to a little list of cute Austin things. Back with more energy next week. <3
How freaking artful are these lemons? My neighbors somehow grew them in their front yard, which is astounding to me because we’re in Texas.
Also, my friend Rachel taught herself to bake sourdough bread and has been dropping off loaves.
Being gifted these food treasures has reminded me that it just takes little things to be an A+ neighbor, you know?
Also in the lucky department—my husband and I celebrated our fourteenth wedding anniversary with our three children at Hula Hut. It was one of those 70 degree Austin winter days and I had a large enchilada and an Arnold Palmer.
Then! My friend Melinda (of Mindy’s Bakeshop fame) and I had this feast at Toasty Badger. We discussed New Year resolutions and I told her that I didn’t have the stomach to set serious goals this year. She then told ME that last year her New Year resolutions were 1) to pet more dogs and 2) to go on more walks and that just blew my little mind!
We can set fun goals, y’all!
And finally, I don’t know who needs to hear this but you can buy a painting made BY A PIG from Central Texas Pig Rescue at Bouldin Creek Cafe.
Hope your week is rootin’ tootin!
